Photography Exhibition
The WV Strawberry Festival and Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club sponsor a photography exhibit and contest during the Strawberry Festival each year. Details are in the brochure. Entry deadline is noon on April 28, 2010. All entries become part of a photo exhibit held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Bill Kelley Chevrolet Inc. in Buckhannon.
The photography contest is open to adult and student amateur photographers. The contest has an adult and a youth division.
The adult division consists of five classes:
- People
- Things or Places
- Monochrome
- Wild & Wonderful WV
- Creative Expression
Class 6 is the Youth Division, which may be photos of any subject, and is limited to ages 18 or younger. Young photographers may enter the Adult Division or the Special Categories, if they wish, by paying the Adult entry fee.
Class 7 - Buckhannon River Watershed
Class 8 - Flowers: Co-sponsored by the Buckhannon River Watershed Association and the Fred Brooks Garden Club respectively.

The "Best of Show" and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place photos in all classes receive a ribbon and a cash prize. Honorable mention ribbons are also awarded by the judges. These will be presented at the photographers’ award reception on Thursday, May 14 at 5:30pm. Special ribbons are awarded for People's Choice, Queen's Choice, Strawberry Teen's Choice, King's Choice, President's Choice and Young People's Choice (ages 14 and younger). The special ribbons are awarded during the contest and may be presented later.
Photo Display Open to the Public on Thursday–Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-12 noon.

Eligibility Requirements: Amateur Photographers who earn less than 50% of their income from photography.
Participant Entry Fee:
$3.00 - per entry Adult Division
$2.00 - per entry Youth Division.
